Durham Drive Reconstruction Minimize

The City of Muskego has approved a contract for design services for the reconstruction of Durham Drive, from McShane Drive to North Cape Road (CTH “OO”). This contract, which entails all necessary survey and design work for the reconstruction of Durham Drive, was awarded to Foth Infrastructure & Environment, LLC.

The redesign of Durham Drive will include a typical rural roadway cross section with two twelve foot lanes and an eight foot wide paved recreational trail (similar to Durham Drive between Woods Road & McShane Drive). The purpose of the project is to reconstruct the deteriorating roadway’s pavement, improve roadway safety, connect area recreational trails, and improve stormwater quality. The work will include slight roadway realignment for improved safety, intersection reconfigurations, addition of turning lanes, construction of a paved recreational pathway, and land acquisition. Construction is anticipated for the summer of 2011 depending on various permitting and funding opportunities.

The City of Muskego will keep residents informed throughout this process. At this point, we would like to assure you that we will make every effort to ensure this process will be completed as efficiently and thoughtfully as possible.
