Denoon is named after a dynamic early Muskego settler who published the first Norwegian newspaper in the United States and was influential in shaping the Wisconsin Constitution.  His name was James Denoon Reymert. This 53-acre community park is located in the southwestern portion of the city on the northwestern shore of Lake Denoon.  The site has two basketball goals, one baseball/softball diamond, picnicking, horseshoes, playground equipment, soccer fields, snowmobile trails, a walking trail, an open shelter, portable restrooms, an area designated for golf, and lake launching access.  The playground equipment provided on the site accommodates ages 2-5 years.  Off-street parking is provided for 52 vehicles.  Wetlands and woodlands within the primary environmental corridor associated with Lake Denoon can also be found at this site.  Lake Denoon provides habitat for the Black Tern, a rare bird species.
