Captain Craig A. Moser, Service Division Commander Minimize
 


 

Captain Moser began his career as a patrolman with the Muskego Police Department in July 1985 after receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Law Enforcement from Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.  During the course of his career, Captain Moser has been assigned to the Waukesha County Metro Drug Unit, served, as a DARE officer at Bay Lane School and since 1994 has been a member of our department SWAT team. Captain Moser has also attended numerous additional training classes, which include First Line Supervisors training, Basic SWAT, Field Training Officer, Reid Interview and Interrogation, Basic and Advanced Photography, Crime Scene Technician, Taser Instructor and Chemical Agents Instructor.

Captain Moser was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in June 1996, Staff Sergeant in May 2002, Lieutenant in April 2007 and Captain in July 2007. Captain Moser has completed the Northwestern University Traffic Institute School of Police Staff and Command, the FBI National Academy and has become certified as a Firearms Instructor, Traffic Contacts Instructor and Less Lethal Weapons Instructor.

Captain Moser is currently the Services Division Commander who oversees the Detective Bureau, the school resource officers, the community resource officer and dispatch/clerical personnel

Captain Moser believes in the concept of Community Oriented Policing and feels that in order to make the police department more effective the officers must be able to work together with the citizens of the community in solving any police related issues.

Captain Moser and his wife, Julie live in Waukesha with their two daughters, Natalie and Nicole.
