Detective/Lieutenant David Constantineau Minimize

 

After growing up in Muskego and earning an Associates Degree in Police Science from Waukesha County Technical Institute, David Constantineau was hired by the Muskego Police Department as a patrol officer in January 1987.

During his career, Lieutenant Constantineau has received extensive training in numerous areas of police work, including training in the collection, processing and preservation of evidence, and interview techniques.  In 1994/95 he was assigned to the Waukesha County Metro Drug Enforcement Unit as an Acting Detective.  In 1997, Lieutenant Constantineau became one of the departments Hostage Negotiators, and in 1998 became one of only four Computer Voice Stress Analyzer operators in the department, at the time, the only one in the patrol division.

In August 2000, Lieutenant Constantineau earned his B.S. degree in Criminal Justice from
Mount Senario College.  In May 2001, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant, and then Lieutenant.  He is currently assigned to the departments Detective Bureau where he is the supervisor in charge.

Lieutenant Constantineau graduated from the 40th Command Officer Development Course offered by the Southern Police Institute through the
University of Louisville in 2003.  He is the head advisor for the Law Enforcement Explorer Post, Post #128, at the Muskego Police Department.  The Explorer program gives kids 14 to 20 years old a chance to become involved with and see the inner workings of law enforcement.  He is also in charge of the day-to-day operations of the department boat patrol and is in the beginning of putting together a department honor guard.
