Sergeant Jim Rozeski has been employed with the City of Muskego Police Department since February of 2001.  Prior to his start in Muskego, he worked as a patrol officer for Linn Township in Walworth County.  Sergeant Rozeski earned an Associates Degree in Police Science from Gateway Technical College in 1998 and a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, with a Law Enforcement Emphasis, from Upper Iowa University In 2006.  Sergeant Rozeski was assigned to second and third shift as a patrol officer until December of 2007, when he was promoted to Sergeant.

 

Sergeant Rozeski has been a member of the department’s Tactical Team since 2003 and is currently assigned as its training officer.  He is a Defense and Arrest Tactics (DAAT) and Less Lethal Instructor.  He also serves as the department instructor for Specialty Impact Munitions, Chemical Munitions, Distraction Devices and Oleoresin Capsicum Aerosol Projectors.  Sergeant Rozeski is an advisor for the Muskego Explorer program, where he helps teach young adults the fundamentals of police work.  Sergeant Rozeski has also been involved in the Muskego Citizens’ Academy, where he has taught Patrol Procedures and Defense and Arrest Tactics.  Sergeant Rozeski currently sits on the board for the Muskego Police Department Awards Committee, where employees and citizens are recognized for exemplary contributions in the community.  During the winter months, Sergeant Rozeski conducts snowmobile patrol throughout the city. 

 

Sergeant Rozeski has attended numerous training sessions and seminars, including the FBI Instructional Development Course, Defense and Arrest Tactics, Basic SWAT, Reid Interview and Interrogations, Less Lethal Instructor Course, Highway Drug Interdiction and several Tactical Seminars.
