If you dial 911 from your residence on a conventional landline telephone, you will be connected directly to the Muskego Police Department.

 

If you are in the City of Muskego and dial 911 from a cellular phone you will be connected to the Waukesha County Communications dispatch center, causing a delay of valuable time before the call is forwarded to the Muskego Police Department.

 

As an option and providing circumstances allow, you may dial the City of Muskego Dispatch Center direct at 262-679-4130.  This number can be used for emergency and non-emergency situations.

March 7, 2012The tentative start date for the spring 2012 Police Citizen’s Academy. If you are interested in learning more about your police department, this is the class for you. For information, contact Officer Gary Mrotek at gmrotek@ci.muskego.wi.us

April 10-13, 2012 – DNR Boater Safety Class held from 5:00pm - 7:30pm at Muskego Public Library and taught by Muskego Police officers.  Check the Muskego Parks and Recreation Department guide for information on how to sign up.

April 28, 2012 – As previously reported, the Drug Free Communities of Waukesha County will be teaming up with the DEA and collecting and disposing of old and unused prescription medication at The Muskego Police Department. Collection times will be 10:00am to 2:00pm.

June 26-29, 2012 – A second chance to take DNR Boater Safety, if you missed it in April.  More dates will be posted as they become available.

   7.04 PARKING RESTRICTIONS (Ord. #865 - 4-6-95)

 

(2) All Night Parking.

 

(a) No person, partnership, corporation, or other legal entity shall park or cause to be parked any vehicle of any kind or description on any public street or highway in the City of Muskego between the hours of 3:00 A.M. and 7:00 A.M. commencing December 1 and ending on April 1 of any year unless temporarily authorized by the Police Department.


7.12 SNOW EMERGENCIES (Cr. Ord. 119)

 

(4) Parking Prohibited During Emergency. No person shall park any vehicle on a main street, alley or public parking lot during the period of a snow emergency or immediately thereafter until such main street, alley or public parking lot has been cleared of snow, unless with reasonable diligence he could not avoid it.

(5) Negligent Parking on Side Streets. No person shall permit any vehicle to park or stop upon any uncleared street or alley or parking lot, either during a driving snowstorm, immediately thereafter, or during a state of declared emergency in such manner as to interfere with snow removal equipment, unless with reasonable diligence he could not avoid it.

(6) Removal of Vehicles. Any traffic officer, the Superintendent of Public Works or any of his employees under his supervision and direction may remove any vehicle which may interfere with the operation of any snow removal equipment or any emergency vehicle. The cost of removing such vehicle may be charged to the owner or operator thereof, and the removal may be made by the City Highway Department with City help, or by commercial towing service. Cars removed and towed away shall be stored in a safe place and restored to the owner or operator of such car upon payment of towing fee therefore.
